Tony Langley and Basil Vincent of Token Engineering gained the Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme (WIAPS), External Services accreditation on 31st May 2012.
This accreditation indicates a working knowledge of the Water Regulations and associated standards in relation to the installation of underground pipe work for the provision of water supply to properties.
As approved Groundworkers, our WIAPS accreditation formally recognises our ability to install external pipework in accordance with The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
The key benefit of this accreditation is self certification which allows us to carry out replacement or repairs to underground pipe work without the need for Water Authority inspection thus reducing an external factor that may cause delay in completing a project.
